You will need:

Mug or cup

Milk pan



  • 4 whole cloves
  • 1 short stick cinnamon
  • 5 whole white peppercorns
  • 5 whole allspice
  • 2 whole cardamom
  • few slices ginger
  • 1/2 star anise * option
  • 3 tablespoon Tea
  • 2 tablespoon sugar
  • 300 ml or 10 oz whole milk
  • 1 cup water


1. Add all spices and water to a saucepan and bring to boil.

2. Remove the saucepan from the heat and let it steep for 5 minutes.

3. Add whole mile to the saucepan and remove before it boils.

4. Finally add the tea in the saucepan then let it steep for another 3 to 5 minutes.

5. Strain into mugs or tea cups.

6. Add sugar before serving.

Ceylon tea is highly recommended but English breakfast or Assam tea can be used for replacement. Don’t boil milk. Adjust the amount of sugar depending on how sweet you want it to be. Spices can be reduced.
